HAVE BAT WILL STRIKE - Juanito V. Jabat   - The Freeman

A Congressman has filed a bill requiring all government buildings to be painted in beige color. Why not green in support of the campaign in favor of the ecology?

***

Someday we will be hearing about another congressman filing a bill naming tangkong the national vegetable.

***

The senate is moving the SK elections to the last Monday of October 2016. "SK elections can wait," says Senator Bongbong Marcos." But those SK officials now near their senior years can't wait.

***

The town of Mamasapano once a God-forsaken place is now in the lips of everyone. No thanks to what happened to the 44 SAF commandos who were slaughtered by the combined elements of the BIFF and the MILF.

***

I was listening to some people discussing the Mamasapano bloodbath. Each one had his own opinion about the issue. But in the end they asked the same question: "Nganong nakiggubat man ang MILF batok sa government troops nga duna man kaha silay gikasabutan nga peace deal?"

***

Truth to tell, that's exactly the same question everyone is asking and those who are supposed to be in the know seem to be playing possum. Like the people in the Palace who are trying to prevent the scuttling of the peace process which the MILF has already started to scuttle.

***

That, guys, is my take. If I'm wrong let me hear from those who are right.

***

Did you know that not just anyone, nay, any cop wear the black beret worn by the fallen 44 SAF troopers. Only PNP men who had undergone the kind of training the SAF members went through have the right to wear the black beret, according to high police authorities.

***

I received this e-mail from a reader: “I bet you, sir Jabat, this investigation of what happened in Mamasapano will take siyam-siyam before the result is out. You know what siyam-siyam is, Sir?
