Two thumbs up

BASKETBALL. A  school principal asked The Ear informer: "Have you followed the basketball games in Dubai where our Batang Gilas (U-17) team is competing? During the playing of the national anthems of the participating countries, only the Filipino players are seen smartly at attention with their right hand over where their heart is."

PATRIOTIC. Our Ear informer said he had also observed that the Filipinos in the grandstand  are also doing the same. "We are a patriotic people," said our Ear informer, "and even for that act of patriotism alone I give our Batang Gilas boys two thumbs up."
