Is Olango prepared for a storm surge?

THE EAR - The Freeman

BE PREPARED. A foreigner living in Olango Island asked if the government is prepared just in case a storm surge from a super typhoon hits the island. "Typhoon Yolanda happened only 200 kilometers away, what can the government do if a super typhoon heads to the island?" he asks.

NO HIGH GROUND. The foreigner, a retired teacher, also said running for higher ground is not an option as the highest point of the island was estimated at only five meters from sea level. He told The Ear he will not stop prodding the government into taking action until a "satisfactory and promising way" is found to make sure there will be zero casualties in such a scenario.
