UKAY-UKAY. A high-society matron was heard instructing her driver not to tell anyone she had been to two ukay-ukay shops for some used garments purchases. "Iyang gikauwaw ang iyang pagpamalit og used clothing sa mga tindahan sa ukay-ukay," the driver said to a fellow driver.

BRANDED JACKET. While this high-society matron was window-shopping in a classy boutique in Ayala wearing an expensive-looking branded jacket, a young woman told her male (maybe her husband) companion: "Hala mao man unta nang paliton ko sa ukay-ukay." The matron looked at her and the woman asked: "Ikaw diay ma'am nakaplit ana...Duna ra ba nay gisi ang kwelyo." The matron walked away.
