I received this text message from an unidentified texter: "Natagaan ba og relief goods ang mga biktima sa linog sa CEBU? Murag pulos man tua sa Bohol." (To clarify: It was a texter who asked this, not me. - JVJ)

Yes, we're getting relief goods in Cebu. Of course, more relief goods are going to Bohol because our brother Boholanos suffered --and continue to suffer-- more. This is one instance when receiving less is no reason to be grudge those receiving more.

Former TF newsboy Norbing Sanchez who now runs a buy-and-sell store in Manila called up to ask about the old TF building and how it fared with the earthquake.

Norbing also took the occasion to commend whoever thought of the "piso-piso fund drive" for the construction of a new CCMC building. "Maayong ideya kay kadtong nakaamot bisan piso lang makaingon nakatabang siya pagpabarug pag-usab sa city hospital," he said. (Note: The CCMC was known before as "The City Hospital".)

OVERHEARD. The piso-piso fund drive for the construction of a new CCMC has won the support even of the streetkids. One of them was heard saying: "Ibaligya ko ni ron dayon ang mga puthaw natigum ko aron duna koy ikahug sa galonan diha sa may Fuente." Said his companion: "Human na ko hug sa halin sa mga plastik natigum ko."
