Result of a fling

PROMISE. A top corporate official of a Manila-based company got acquainted with a corporate secretary during a business conference in Cebu. He had a two-night fling with her during which he promised to buy her a car on Christmas.

COUNTDOWN. Now the secretary has started a countdown to Christmas. Everyday she would text him in this manner: "Hon, it's now 95 days to Christmas." The corporate official confided to a close friend: "Brad, napahamak ako. The woman I had a fling with in Cebu took me seriously. Nag-countdown na siya to Christmas kahit na hindi lang daw mamahalin ng tsikot." The friend, replied, according to our informer: "Hahaha! Lesson 101 'yan, Brad."
