A preacher’s claim belied

EAR - The Freeman

CAMOTES. A university professor in Manila who hails from Camotes Islands in Cebu has taken offense at the claim of a non-Catholic preacher that the natives of Camotes are "small people" because they eat nothing but camote (the rootcrop). The preacher said in a TV program that anyone could verify his claim by going to Camotes Islands.

A BIG LIE. The professor said the preacher’s claim was a big lie. "I was born and reared in Camotes Islands but I’m 6-foot-1," he said, adding: "My two daughters and my wife are taller than the average Pinay...Pulos sila natawo sa Camotes ug pulos sila ganahan og camote-cue," he told an Ear informer.
