CEBU, Philippines - A woman recovered her stolen iPhone4 yesterday dawn with the help of her facebook account.
Margarita Gonzaga, 42 years old, of Barangay Cambaro, Mandaue City told police she lost the phone at a mall at the Reclamation Area last Dec. 25.
However, when she checked her facebook account last December 28, a picture of a woman greeted her.
She knew right away this was the woman who stole her phone. She said any picture taken by her phone would automatically be uploaded to her facebook account.
In a follow-up operation conducted by the operatives of the IDMB yesterday dawn, Gonzaga’s iPhone 4 was recovered from a certain Mae Alenton, 29 years old, and a resident of Sitio Masulog in Barangay Basak, Lapu-Lapu City.
Theft charges are being prepared against the woman from Lapu-Lapu. (FREEMAN)
