CEBU, Philippines - At least 16 additional organic personnel from the Cebu Provincial Police Office (CPPO) are now at the Talisay City Police Office in a bid to boost police visibility and to come closer to achieving an ideal police-to-population ratio.
Talisay City police chief Supt. Elmer Lim yesterday said these policemen will be assigned to outposts in barangay San Roque along the South Road Properties (SRP), barangay Bulacao, and barangay Linao.
An outpost will be manned by two police personnel for 24 hours.
On the other hand, Lim said the new administration of Mayor-elect Johnny V. delos Reyes, or “JVR,†has the support of the police.
Lim became acting police chief last January. (FREEMAN)
