CEBU, Philippines - A 41-year-old woman was shot and wounded by an unidentified person on board a motorcycle at around 8:45 in the morning Tuesday in sitio Ilacot, barangay Cotcot, Liloan town.
Catherin Llienes, 41, was hit on the arm and the bullet that hit her on the back came out of her breast.
She was taken to the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center in Cebu City.
Insp. Leo Ty, Liloan police chief, said Llienes was on her way to work when ambushed.
A witness alleged the passenger behind the motorcycle driver, who was a woman, pulled out a handgun and fired at Llienes thrice.
Police are now looking at the love triangle angle as the motive for the shooting since Llienes, separated from her husband, is allegedly having an affair with a married man.
Llienes and her husband have two children.
Ty said the wife of the man reportedly confronted Llienes but it was Llienes who got mad instead.
Police are now looking for the wife of the married man. (FREEMAN)
