CEBU, Philippines - The municipal council of Consolacion approved Wednesday its P174.2 million annual budget for 2013 during a special session.
Vice Mayor Aurelio Damole presided over the special session. Also in attendance were councilors Alfred Francis Ouano, Julius Alegado, Nilo Ferraren, Ben Ermac, Brando Cuizon, and Association of Barangay Councils president Marilou Casul.
The budget allocates P1 million for the implementation of the town’s Solid Waste Management Program, P1.2 million representing the aid of the municipal government to the Community College and the honorarium for teachers, P2.1 million as assistance for the 21 barangays.
Another P1.7 million will go to the elderly and person with disability, P700 thousand as emergency and burial assistance, P700 thousand for children and the youth.
The budget also allocates P500 thousand for women, and P325 thousand for the town’s scholarship program.
The municipal council also approved P9.8 million for the Consolacion Community College, P6.6 million for the market, and P1 million for the slaughterhouse. (FREEMAN)
