CEBU, Philippines - Over a hundred riders from all over the country are set for extreme action as the second leg of the 2014 MS Motosuit Motocross Series dubbed as the '4th Mayor Butch Sepulveda Motocross Cup' revs off today in Barangay Logo, Borbon town north of Cebu.
Event organizer and MS Motosuit big boss Lou Ornopia said Cebu's cream of the crop in this adreline-pumping race are again expected to face tough challenge against daredevils from Manila, Davao, Dumaguete City, Leyte and Dinagat Island in Surigao.
Among the stars to watch out for in the one-day joust are Burnok Mangusong, Dondon Yuson, Cebu's pride Jonjon Adlawan, Wensor Famorca, Ambo Yaparcon, and Venil Abellar.
The categories being featured are the mini 60cc and 85cc, beginners, local enduro, open enduro, executive A, B and C, novice, intermediate, expert and pro open.
After Borbon, the series swings to the city of Toledo for the third leg in June 2 and then in Dinagat Island for the fourth leg on June 18.
Meanwhile, exciting motocross action will be telecast over CCTN 47 every Saturday from 10:30 to 11 am, with replays every Sunday from 10:30 to 11 o'clock in the evening.
Hosted by the ageless Pepo Rubi, the revered "King of Cebu Motocross, and MS Motosuit operations officer Ramil V. Ayuman, the half-hour show features the humble beginnings of Cebu motocross as well as some highlights of the annual MS Motosuit series.— EBV (FREEMAN)
