CEBU, Philippines - The University of Cebu (UC)-Nigeria pulled off a 4-0 annihilation of Airlifters to take the solo lead in the 3rd BRO Nationals Football Cup at the Don Bosco Technological Center yesterday.
UC-Nigeria now has 2-1 win-draw record. They still have another game last night against ERCO-Don Bosco Alumni.
UC-Nigera had a slow start in the tournament ending their first game with a draw against ERCO Samarino, but they kicked into high gear as they won their next two games.
The UC Nigerians scored a thrilling 2-1, victory against the Korean squad before silencing the Airlifters.
The Airlifters, for their part, suffered their third loss as they want to make a graceful exit when they face the Koreans today.
In their previous games, the Airlifters bowed to ERCO Samarino, 6-1.
In the 18-under class, the Palarong Pambansa-bound CVIRAA squad kept a clean record (3-0) after burying Alegria booters, 26-0.
CVIRAA's elementary bets also showed how prepared they are for the Palarong Pambansa in Laguna as they claimed the top spot in the under-13 division. CVIRAA won against Inayawan FC with a 12-0 thrashing. — (FREEMAN)
