CEBU, Philippines — The Office of the Building Official (OBO) in Cebu City has reported an improved collection after breaking last year’s record in the first nine months by around P5 million.
According to the city’s information office, OBO collected a total of P115,110,220.21 from January to September 2024.
The latest collection surpasses last year’s collection, which was at P109,970,807.74, in the same period.
Most of OBO’s revenue comes from business, fencing, building, occupancy, electrical, scaffolding, and streamers permits.
For September alone, OBO managed to collect P8,155,664.34.
OBO also received 157 applications for construction permits through their One-stop Shop in the month of September.
Aside from an improved collection, OBO had also issued notices to 2,028 structures. — (FREEMAN)
