CEBU, Philippines — Residents and visitors of Poro town, Camotes Island can now enjoy new and comfortable facilities with the opening of new Capitol-funded infrastructure projects worth P11.25 million.
Governor Gwendolyn Garcia and Poro Mayor Gary Rama led the inauguration of four infrastructure and developmental projects in the town.
The projects include a LED wall installed in the town plaza located in Brgy. Eastern Poblacion, which measures 25.80 square meters.
In a report by Sugbo News, Capitol’s official media arm, the LED wall will be utilized in boosting information dissemination in the town and in various activities including meetings, and other forms of gathering.
Also, a P1 million worth children’s playground was also opened as the newest enhancement of the Seaview Park located in the same barangay.
The newly-constructed playground, which occupies an area of 416 square meters, is said to be designed to provide a safe space for kids to play in and to develop social skills.
A P2.25 million sea-viewing area was also opened to the public that is stretched out in a 672 square meter lot along the coast.
Facilities, including modern restrooms and areas to relax, and signages have also been installed in the viewing area.
According to Sugbo News, these new projects in Poro were funded through the pooled financial assistance given by the Capitol on various occasions. (CEBU NEWS)
