CEBU, Philippines - A sari-sari store owner was robbed by four persons Wednesday morning in Barangay Mindanao, Malabuyoc, Cebu.
The robbers carted away P130,000 cash and valuables from Antonio Alloso, 44.
The victim said he was inside the house when he heard someone was knocking at his store to buy gasoline.
When the victim opened the door, two of the robbers pointed a gun at him and declared a holdup.
Senior Police Officer 2 Edward Villarte, desk officer, said the victim recognized his former neighbor, Alberto Telebanco, 33, as one of the suspects. Telebanco now lives in Barili.
“Nanuktok ning suspek nagpakaaron-ingnon nga mupalit og gasolina, gitionan og armas and biktima,” Villarte said.
The robbers went inside the victim’s house and took the P120,000 cash and two wristwatches worth P12,000, and a necklace worth P5,000.
Villarte said that the robbers were so daring because they were not wearing anything to conceal their identities.
“Kursonada kaayo kay wala man gyud sila nagtaptap, si Telebanco mao’y nag-guide sa iyang mga kauban suhito sa lugar kay silingan man sila sa una,” he said.
The police are still conducting hot pursuit operation to locate and arrest the robbers. — (FREEMAN)
