CEBU, Philippines - A 36-year-old man who made his daughter, 15, a sex slave for three years was arrested by the police last Tuesday in Sogod, town.
The arrest was made possible after the victim, name withheld, reported her ordeal to her grandmother, who immediately sought the assistance of the police. According to the victim, she was last raped by her father on that same day she braved to report to her grandmother to put an end to her agony.
The victim lives in Borbon while her father lives in Sogod. Her mother works abroad as an Overseas Filipino Worker.
The victim said her father fetched her in school last Tuesday and brought her in their house in Borbon where she was last raped.
PO3 Rolinda Flores said that the victim lives with her father while her two siblings, aged 12 and 10, are with their grandparents.
The victim admitted to the police that she got pregnant and had the baby aborted upon the order of her father.
Flores said that the suspect is allegedly hooked in illegal drugs as claimed by the victim.
The police are now preparing charges of rape against the suspect who is now detained at the Borbon police station.— (FREEMAN)
