HIMÔ: A Space + Making Fair

CEBU, Philippines - A two-day fair showcasing pieces of internationally-renowned furniture and accessory brands takes place on November 19 and 20, at 32 Sanson by Rockwell. The fair, dubbed “HIMÔ: A Space + Making Fair,” is co-organized by 32 Sanson by Rockwell and HoliCOW.  Participating are Co-Creative Studio, Coast Pacific, General Bleu, Hacienda Crafts, Interlace, Mehitabel, ObraCebuana, Vito Selma, and Debbie Palao, among others.

Celebrating the Visayan craftsmanship, HIMÔ highlights locally-made and sustainable furniture, accessories, and home décor items that give life to space. This year, the gathering is set to make homemaking even more special for Cebuanos – with local music, food, and art accompanying the fair. Local artists from the Qube Gallery have been invited to showcase their pieces; La Marea and ECHO store are setting up shops for the foodies in attendance, while Sistemang Pilipino and Hacienda Santa Rosalia Rondalla’s music will serenade guests.

HIMÔ: A Space + Making Fair was originally drawn up as an exclusive, semi-private affair centered around the turnover of 32 Sanson by Rockwell’s first units to its owners next month. Having already established their location as a premiere spot in Cebu’s real estate landscape, 32 Sanson has come to be synonymous with an elevated lifestyle, grounded in the easygoing, down-to-earth culture that Cebu City is known and loved for.

Chiefly curated by the HoliCOW team, the fair is geared towards embodying HoliCOW’s thrust for “Sustainability, Traceability, and the Filipino Identity.” HIMÔ is a venue for creation and collaboration, for end-users to meet with designers, for persons not only to find a home, but to create one, especially one against the backdrop of 32 Sanson’s development.

HIMÔ seeks to go beyond its origins, and continue to be an annual space-and-making oriented fair for two days in 32 Sanson’s grounds. With HoliCOW’s reach, it aims to bring not just Cebu-based designers and brands, but also artisans extending around the Visayas, and possibly Mindanao regions as well.
