CEBU, Philippines - A unique exhibition highlighting the different dresses, fineries and casual-chic outfits worn by the inimitable Marian Rivera is currently on display at The Northwing of SM City Cebu.
Opening last Monday this week, the "Marian Rivera Collections Exhibit" puts the spotlight on 30 head-turning outfits which the iconic star wore during various casting sessions, auditions, guestings, teleserye episodes, talk shows, gala events and celebrations.
From a Jun Escario gown which Rivera wore during "The Comedy King Tribute" gala in 2012 to the vibrant red mardi gras-inspired costume she donned in this year's FHM 100 Sexiest Victory Party, the exhibit is not exactly set on documenting the star's vibrant career path in fine detail - but it does highlight unique one-of-a-kind pieces that are sure to be of interest to fans and memorabilia collectors.
Among these items are the purple tube dress which Marian wore during the Marimar casting sessions in 2008, the blue and yellow dress she wore on guesting in StarTalk in 2013, and the white gown she wore in last year's Yahoo! OMG Awards.
Presented in line with the celebration of Rivera's 30th birthday, the items featured in the exhibit are part of an ongoing online auction, whose proceeds are to benefit the Kapuso Adopt-A-Bangka Project at Bantayan Island, Cebu.
The "Marian Rivera Collections Exhibit" runs until August 17. The items featured in the exhibit are available for auction online until August 31. More information at: www.kapusoadoptabangkaproject.blogspot.com (FREEMAN)
