The Publishers Association of the Philippines, Inc. (PAPI) Cebu charter officers were installed into office by PAPI national President Luis Arriola on January 25 this year, during the first Induction Ceremony of PAPI Cebu Chapter at the Sacred Heart Center.
Some national officers of PAPI graced the occasion, led by no less than PAPI Chairman Juan Dayang, who was the keynote speaker. Ms. Edna B. Cuyno - PAPI Director for Mindanao, Sheryl Mallari-Asprec - PAPI Secretary, Nelson S. Santos - PAPI Treasurer, and Andy Manatad - VP for Visayas were in attendance.
Inducted officers of PAPI Cebu Chapter were the following: President, Engr. Greg Senining; Vice-President, Sam Costanilla; Secretary, Jun Basadre; Treasurer, Loy Jurado; Auditor, Wen Celen; Board of Directors - Atty. Raymund Alvin Garcia, Atty. James Lobedica, Dr. Paulus Mariae Canete, Sonny Gabiana, Max Andrino, and Daday Melgar. Board of Directors Gregg Rubio and Pepe Sollano, both of The Freeman, were not able to attend due to time constraints. Banat News Publisher is an honorary member of the Board.
Print, radio and TV broadcaster Andy Manatad was also a convenor for the chartering of PAPI Cebu Chapter.
