She felt that life is so unkind to her. Just recently she lost her job after having it for five months. She doesn’t know why she was terminated. She felt her whole world collapse. She doesn’t know what to do especially that she has an ailing mother.
I felt sad for her. I hugged her and told her that in the midst of this predicament, she has to ask God’s help and guidance. I know that God will never turn His back especially in our moments of rough and tough sailing. I believe that whatever happens in life there must be a reason and a purpose. I’m sure that if one door closes, another door will be open. What is important is that we must not lose hope and must trust that God will always answer our prayer in His own time.
I have known some who had been at the lowest ebb of their life and when hope was almost dim, God redeem them. God came to their rescue. God’s help arrived on time.
When life becomes tough and everything is like going downhill, here are tips to bear in mind as offered by Eduard Ezeance.
Even bad times end. Everything ends whether it’s good or bad. It doesn’t lasts forever. All you have to do is to have patience. They will simply wither and die on their own.
You have overcome challenges before. Another way to address the feeling that a bad situation will never end is by thinking about similar situation that you went through and was successful in overcoming it. Doing this will boost your self-confidence and eliminate the sense of helplessness.
You have lots of strength as a person. When the going gets tough, it’s natural for us to stop seeing our strength and only be aware of our flaws. Thus, we see ourselves as losers, incapable to rise above difficult situations. Do a quick mental check of your strength . This will empower you and give you confidence that you’ll handle the situation you’re in effectively.
It happens to everybody. Frequently, when facing hardships, our thinking will trick us into believing that this happens only to us. However, you have to realize that whatever happens to you, in the same form or a related one, happens to almost everybody.
It’s a learning experience. Most learning in life comes from trial and error. And when things aren’t going the way you want them to go, the best things you can do is to try to understand why this is happening and learn from the experience. It’s by learning and applying the lessons that you’ll eventually turn things around.
You can always ask for help when facing hard times. Your family and friends can provide support system for you. Ask help from them in case you need emotional support.
There are lot of things to be grateful. Count your blessings and your perspective will completely change.
