Tukar Bisaya at the Ayala Terraces

CEBU, Philippines - In line with the Independence Day celebration, Ayala Center Cebu goes all the way back to our cultural roots with Local Love.

Tomorrow, be loud and be proud of our rich musical heritage with Tukar Bisaya. Celebrate the love for Cebuano music and language with a night of dynamic performances by Cebu’s hottest artists like Mary Anchit, Freon, Wonggoys and Vispop 1 Grand Winner Jewel Villaflores. Phenomenal rock band Missing Filemon will then take center stage to place Cebuano words and melody in the spotlight. Catch these local acts at The Terraces starting at 7 p.m.

From June 12 to 15, a series of activities is set to promote the rich and vibrant culture of Cebu. For four days, explore the distinctive Filipino taste with an array of local delicacies and products at Tatak Cebu.

Outdoor kiosks located at The Terraces will display homegrown brands and products. Meanwhile, at the 2nd level of Paseo Solana, an exhibit by the military tri-service will take people on a journey on how the country fought for its freedom. Participated in by the Philippine Navy and the Philippine Air Force, and the Armed Forces of the Philippines, the Philippine Independence Day Exhibit will feature the equipment and gears used by the country’s forefront defenders.

On June 12, Independence Day, at 6 o’clock in the evening at The Terraces, watch Cebu’s promising models grace the runway as they showcase the masterpieces of contemporary Filipino fashion designers at Stylissimo. The show will kick off with a performance by the Philippine Armed Forces Brass Band. Graduates of Stylissimo workshop will strut the catwalk in a Cebu street style and avant-garde theme followed by the works of Mia Arcenas, Yves Camingue and Jun Escario. Then, be enchanted with the gems of the south with the Philippine Fashion Week Collection 2014 of Harley Ruedas, Phillip Tampus and Dexter Alazas. Capping the show with modern Pinoy music are today’s sought-after DJ’s, DJ Gino and DJ Gio.
