Radisson Blu celebrates Community Action Month

CEBU, Philippines — Radisson Blu Cebu's Responsible Business initiatives had some of the hotel's employees traveling up the hill and into the cool air of Sirao, Cebu City.

The team spent half a day distributing food packs, hygiene kits and teaching supplies to the 600 students and 25 teachers of Sirao Integrated School of Calawan.

Aimed at encouraging children to adapt healthful habits and overall cleanliness, each hygiene kit contained a covered toothbrush, a tube of toothpaste, a bottle of shampoo, a bar of bath soap, and a face towel.

The school's teachers were also gifted with sign pens, pencils, scissors, rulers and folders.

Founded in 2011, the public school was rebuilt and relocated following heavy soil erosion affecting the previous school site.
