Sisimulan na ngayong araw ng Commission on Elections (Comelec) ang overseas absentee voting kung saan inaasahan ang  65 porsiyento sa kabuuang 504,122 Pinoy absentee voters na nasa ibayong dagat na nagparehistro ang boboto ngayong eleksyon.


Ang 30-araw na OAV ay magtatapos sa Mayo 14 kasa bay sa oras ng pagsasara ng mga polling precints sa bansa.


Ayon sa Comelec Committee on Overseas Absentee Voting sa ilalim ng Overseas Absentee Voting Law, ang mga nagpa-rehistro ang papayagan lamang na makilahok sa eleksyon ng Senators at party-list groups.
