Upon the recommendation of my annoyingly knowledgeable friend Rene I looked up A History of the World in 100 Objects, a BBC Radio 4 series, on the Beeb’s website.

I tried to see if any of the salons I have been to carry any sign that says that it is strictly prohibited to have materials that could make you think beyond designer clothes, hair potions and foot spas.
