[Title] => A taste of Japan
[Summary] => KYUSHU, Japan It was 2:30 p.m. when our plane touched down at the Fukuoka International Airport late last month. The weather was getting colder outside the newly built world-class airport but excitement overwhelmed me about what lay ahead, being a first-timer to the Land of the Rising Sun. Japanese time is one-hour ahead of the Philippines.
We were billeted at the Hotel Solaria Nishitetsu Hotel in the heart of Fukuoka City, as arranged by our hosts from the Kyushu-Yamaguchi Economic Federation (Kyu-Kei-Ren). The accommodation was of world-class standard.
