[Summary] => The Central Police District (CPD) in Quezon City won six major individual and unit awards, including the much coveted District of the Year award, during the 13th founding anniversary of the National Capital Regional Police Office (NCRPO) last Saturday.
It was a double whammy for the CPD as it was also named Police District of the Year during the Philippine National Police (PNP) anniversary celebration in Camp Crame last Jan. 29.
The twin feats earned for CPD director Chief Superintendent Napoleon Castro Jr. a six-month extension reward from President Arroyo herself.

[Title] => Cops arrest 3 in slay of trader in Valenzuela
[Summary] => Three fugitives from the law wanted for the murder of a Filipino-Chinese over an old-grudge were arrested early Tuesday morning in Valenzuela City.
Chief Inspector Sotero Ramos, chief of the Northern Police District intelligence unit , identified the arrested suspects as Pepito Portin, 36; Felix Gulani, 34; and Randy Mainay, 27, all residing on Bonifacio street, Barangay Libis, Canumay, Valenzuela.
The arrest was made by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Floro Alejo of the Valenzuela Regional Trial Court in Oct. 3 this year.
