Cebu State College of Science and Technology FC mercilessly drubbed the less experienced FC Inter-Lapulapu, 12-1, in the opening match, while San Roque FC took advantage of its home court in a 7-1 rout of FC Inter-Cebu.

CSCST preyed on FC Inter-Lapulapu's weak defensive line, with Jun Clark nailing a hat-trick as the 6th, 21st and 34th.
