2 victims of electrocution found in Quezon
TAGKAWAYAN, Quezon Philippines —– Two bodies believed to be victims of electrocution were found in a mountainous area in this town on Tuesday.
The victims, identified only as Gerry, 64, and his partner Irene, 67, were found at past noon lying face down near a deep well equipped with an electric pump in Barangay Mansilay.
Police said the water pump was still running when the bodies were found by a resident who immediately informed barangay officials.
Responding police officers found utility tools on top of the well. They said the victims could have been repairing the power connection of the pump, but were electrocuted.
Assistant municipal health officer Irina delos Santos said the cause of death of the victims was consistent with electrocution.
