MANILA, Philippines — The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has summoned a motorcycle rider tagged in a hit-and-run incident in Antipolo Rizal involving a television host.

The LTO said TV host Cianne Dominguez asked the agency to identify the rider and ensure that appropriate action is taken in accordance with the law.

The agency issued a show-cause order directing the registered owner and the rider to appear before the LTO Intelligence and Investigation Division (IID) tomorrow and bring relevant documents regarding the incident.

Violations cited in the show-cause order include reckless driving and failure to fulfill the duty of the driver in case of accident. The rider may also be held liable for being an improper person to operate a motor vehicle.

Additional liabilities may be determined as the investigation progresses.

Dominguez was invited to appear before the LTO-IID and provide a statement that can hasten the resolution of the case.

The rider has been ordered to surrender to the LTO-IID his license, which will be suspended for 90 days pending results of an investigation
