'More than just pretty face': What Gerald Anderson loves about Julia Barretto

MANILA, Philippines — Gerald Anderson believes Julia Barretto's beauty is more than just skin-deep. 

The actor heaped praises for his girlfriend of five years at last week's announcement of his new ABS-CBN show "Nobody." 

"'Pag tiningnan mo siya, para siyang mukhang bata, pretty face lang. Pero hindi, malalim siyang tao," the actor said. 

"She's very beautiful inside and out," he added. 

The actor also described Julia as a "fighter" with a sweet disposition ("malambing"). 

For Gerald, Julia has been through tough times with him, especially at the beginning of their relationship.

"She's very special to me. Alam naman ninyong lahat 'yan. Hindi na magbabago 'yan," he replied when asked if she is the "right one." 

Gerald, however, does not want to rush things between him and Julia. In fact, he is giving her the spotlight now that Julia has just released her comeback film "Un/Happy For You." 

"Para sa akin, she's one of the best, if not the best, sa generation niya at marami pa siyang ipapakita sa inyo," Gerald said.
