MANILA, Philippines — The Pasay City Cockpit stages its last stagfest for the 2019 stagfighting season Friday via the annual SEGBA United 6-Stag Derby with more than 100 fights.
The event comes on the heels of last week’s National Clean Up 5-Stag Derby (156 fights).
Presented by the Seaman Gamefowl Breeders Association (SEGBA) and supported by Sagupaan Superfeeds and Complexor 3000, the event is a showdown of smalltime gamefowl breeders and OFW cockers.
Stags banded by FIGBA Bakbakan, PFGB Digmaan and NBA Salpukan will be accepted, said PCC pit manager Gerald Go.
An “open invitation” format will be adopted to accommodate participants who want to field their remaining battlestags.
The 2020 cockfighting season starts at Pasay Cockpit on Jan. 10 via the RB Basilan Lucas 4-Cock Derby.
