MANILA, Philippines — Manny Pacquiao climbed the ring yesterday and sparred four rounds with Australian light-middleweight Tim Tszyu.
Strength and conditioning coach Justine Fortune brought in Tszyu because he’s the closest thing to Pacquiao’s real opponent.
“He fights very similar to Keith Thurman,” said Pacquiao after the quick sparring session at the Elorde Gym at the MOA grounds.
It was the first sparring session for Pacquiao, who squares off with Thurman, a fellow WBA welterweight champion, on July 20 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
