MANILA, Philippines – Kobe Paras’ star power is clearly rising in the United States.

Three days after his solo mixtape video was released and a day after his debut at the Staples Center, Kobe starred in another mixtape video, this time with the other prep stars in 2014 The League by Compton Magic at Player’s Edge in Corona, California.

In the latest video, Paras was the last one to be featured that also included Filipino-American star point guard Sedrick Barefield.

Barefield, ranked 126th in the nation by rivals.com, is a 6-foot-2 playmaker born to a Filipina mother and former San Diego State player Ray. He is already committed to play for the Southern Methodist University, which is handled by ex-NBA coach Larry Brown.

Also in the video are Duke-bound center Chase Jeter of Bishop Gorman High School, power forward TJ Leaf of Foothills Christian High School and Kobe’s future UCLA teammate Lonzo Ball of Chino Hills.

Barefield and the 6-foot-10 Jeter, ranked eight by rivals.com and ninth by ESPN, belong to class of 2015.

The 6-foot-5 Ball is ranked 10th by rivals.com while the 6-foot-9 Leaf is at the 17th. Paras, Ball and Leaf belong to the class of 2016.

The 6-foot-6 Paras is also joined in the video by his LA Cathedral teammates Lucas Siewart and Milan Acquaah, making the Purple Ghosts one of the formidable teams in California. The High School season will begin in January.
