Pacquiaos: The more, the merrier

MANILA, Philippines - Manny Pacquiao is looking forward to his fight with Brandon Rios as well as the birth of his fifth child with wife Jinkee.

The Pacquiaos are already blessed with four lovely children – Jimuel, Michael, Princess and five-year-old Queenie – and will soon welcome a new member of the family,

“Actually hindi ko in-expect, pero ganito naman talaga (We didn’t expect this. But it happens),” said Jinkee who broke the news on national television.

“If it’s God’s will, siempre tatanggapin mo (you must accept it) We’re very thankful that God gave us a new addition to our family,” she added.

Jinkee, the newly elected vice governor of Sarangani, where the boxing icon is congressman, is three months into her pregnancy.

She’s hoping for a baby boy.

“Boy, para may ano sila... ‘yung mga boys ko, tatlo na silang basketball player! (So I will have three boys, three basketball players),” Jinkee told ABS-CBN.

Pacquiao, scheduled to face Rios on Nov. 24 in Macau, is a basketball addict.

The Pacquiaos are so thankful for all the blessings in life, and the other day they celebrated the birthday of their eldest daughter in an orphanage.

Jinkee said they have given up the practice of holding lavish parties on special occasions. It’s time to share the blessings with the less fortunate.

Just as news of her pregnancy came out Tuesday evening, The STAR texted Jinkee for confirmation.

And she simply replied with a smiley.

That was taken as a yes.
