MANILA, Philippines - Close to 500 mountain bike and BMX enthusiasts are expected to come together in camaraderie and friendly competition in the first PumpStock “Two Days of Peace and Riding” bikefest set May 5-6 at the sprawling Bathala Bike Park in Tanay, Rizal.
“We like all comers to join us in two days of fun-filled and exciting mountain bike and BMX competitions, regardless of club affiliation,” said race director Deo Doctor in yesterday’s PSA forum at the UN Shakey’s Avenue branch in Manila
Like the world-famous and historic US concert “Woodstock” in the seventies which promoted peace and brotherhood “we also like to foster unity among our fellow riders through PumpStock,” Doctor said.
Joining Doctor in the session sponsored by Smart, Pagcor and Shakey’s, were Bathala Bike Park co-owner Nick Jonsay and fellow race director Juan Miguel Lalo, who said that events on tap are the four cross race, dirt jump and pump track challenge.
