MANILA, Philippines - The Philippine Bigtime Billiards Face Off Series resumes at 9 tonight with Roberto Gomez clashing with Taiwan’s Chang Jung-lin at Pagcor Airport Casino in Parañaque City.
“It’s anybody’s game since it’s a short duel and played under the winner’s break format,” said Gomez, who finished runner-up to Daryl Peach in the 2007 World Pool Championships in Manila.
The race-to-9, 10-ball duel, is jointly organized by the Mega Sports World and BRKHRD Corp. It will be aired live over Solar Sports, Sky Channel 70 and Destiny Channel 34 and can be viewed on live stream at www.megasportsworld.com and www.philippinebigtimebilliards.com.
At stake is the top $5,000 purse.
Other backers of the event are Airport Casino Filipino, Crown Sound System Sakura Amplifiers and Home Theater Systems, Malungai Life Oil, Diamond Billiard table, Hermes Sports Bar, I-Bar, Golden Leaf Restaurant, Bugsy Promotions, Mandarin Sky Sea Food Restaurant, Billiards Managers and Players Association of the Philippines (BMPAP) with The Philippine Star as official media partner.
Meanwhile, Carlo Biado will take on Chang next on Dec. 23 while Efren “Bata” Reyes collides with Wu Chia Ching of China on Dec.30.
