TRS launches program for experienced, novice drivers

MANILA, Philippines - Tuason Racing School, the longest-running professional racing school in the country, is rolling out their grassroots circuit car program which promises to be the biggest in motorsports event this year.

The TRS one-make Race series program, powered by the Global Championship-winning Ford Fiesta, is expected to have 15-20 cars on the grid, which will be participated in by novice and experienced drivers alike.

The program also gives racing enthusiasts a chance to become racing team owners by availing themselves of their 999K car and race package. For less than a million pesos, an aspiring Flavio Briatore or Ron Dennis can own, train and race for five weekends in a brand-new, race-prepared Ford Fiesta 1.4 manual transmission.

Package includes a two-day training with champion makers JP and Mike Tuason, running expenses for three race weekends, two sets of Bridgestone tires, Castrol oils and track side support. All you have to do is buy fuel, have guts and win.

The TRS program, which aims to provide a cost effective motorsports solution for enthusiasts and potential Filipino champions, is subsidized by its partners, Castrol, Bridgestone, Ford Fiesta, Coke Zero, Hafele and C!Magazine.

Fresh from their successful Castrol Champions of the Future Karting program for kids, TRS wants to replicate its success, by adding more and more new drivers every year. And by providing world class training and racing, it is not far off that country will produce more Filipino global racing champions,

“Our quest is to continually promote the growth of motorsports as a career choice for Filipinos, We really believe that motorsports is one of the sports our countrymen can excel in,” quipped TRS founder, multi-awarded race car driver and road safety advocate JP Tuason.

“The program is gaining momentum and we have quite a bit of takers, we only have a few units left.” He added.
