Mayor Lim summer festival under way

MANILA, Philippines - The Manila Mayor Alfredo Lim Summer Mini-Olympics unfolds today with a two-day badminton tournament at the St. Vincent College gym in Quezon City.

Seven teams are competing in the tournament organized by Fusion Advertising and the Manila Inter-Commercial Athletic Association, headed by Philip Sio and Roland Lim in cooperation with Manila Sports Council chairman Paul Edward Almario and District 1 Councilor Niño dela Cruz.

Vice-Mayor Isko Moreno and Almario have been invited to grace the opener of the tournament backed by SM Investments, Corp., RCBC, SGV Foundation, Petron, Manila Bulletin and The Philippine STAR.

The competing schools are St. Vincent School, PWU-Jose Abad Santos Memorial School, St. Anthony Academy, Don Bosco Technical College, St. Dominic Savio College, Community of Learners Foundation and Lourdes School of Quezon City.
