Ortigas run slated June 27

MANILA, Philippines - The OCAI Run, the first ever 3K, 5K and 10K open road race and fun run within the Ortigas Center and nearby areas, will be held June 27 with over 4,000 runners expected to participate.

Assembly time in front of the Philippine Stock Exchange will be at 4 a.m. with the race firing off at 5:30 a.m.

Registration is ongoing with fee pegged at P400 per runner (any category) at Mizuno stores (until June 23) and at the office of the Ortigas Center Association, Inc. (OCAI), from June 24 to 25.

Finisher shirts and loot bags will be distributed right after the run while cash prizes for first, second and third placers in each category will also be awarded, together with medals and trophies.  

Prizes, including a Technomarine watch, will be raffled off after the race.

The 10K route will feature a downhill trek from Meralco Ave. to Lanuza Drive in the Valle Verde area and a climb on Julia Varga. The 5K route will include a flyover pass while the 3K run will be run in the heart of Ortigas Center.
