MANILA, Philippines - San Beda simply outclassed Letran in hacking out a 98-60 rout in the FilOil Flying V Accel Badolato Juniors Cup at the Arena yesterday.
The Red Cubs went on an 8-0 run and sustained a searing pace all the way to the finish.
“It’s just that the boys showed their character in this game,” said San Beda coach Brit Reroma. “Defense, of course, is a key but it is really our character that led to this big win.”
Von Chavez led the team with 16 points while Chris Javier churned out double-double numbers with 16 rebounds and 15 points.
Baser Amer, who came through with a rare quadruple-double performance versus the RP 13-under squad the last time out, chipped in 13 points.
Amer logged 39 points, 15 assists, 12 boards and 11 steals versus the RP boys.
