MANILA, Philippines - Registration for the One La Salle Badminton Tournament’s “Totally Smashed – Two to Go, La Salle” will end Feb. 23.
The tournament, part of the pre-homecoming activities leading to the March 7 De La Salle Homecoming, is spearheaded by the De La Salle Alumni Association (DLSAA).
It has already attracted more than 60 participants with an entry fee of only P800 per person or P1,600 per pair.
The event is set Feb. 28 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Father Martinez Activity Center (FMAC) La Salle Green Hills, Mandaluyong City.
Totally Smashed badminton tournament is presented by Toby’s Sports, Union Bank, KARAKAL, Interlink Trans Corp., Cebu Pacific, Krispy Kreme, Animo Magazine and DLSU Alumnus.
Participants will be receiving one Dry-fit Shirt, one Sports Towel and other items. Raffle prizes will also be given like KARAKAL badminton rackets, a cell phone, airline tickets to Boracay c/o Cebu Pacific and hotel accommodations c/o Interlink Travel and other badminton items c/o Toby’s.
All alumni (graduate and non-graduate with at least two-year residency) from any La Salle school, currently enrolled students and their parents are encouraged to join and have fun in this combined age group play format.
There will be Men’s Doubles, Ladies’ Doubles and Mixed Doubles categories. The proposed combined age groups are as follows: 49 and below, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80-89, 90-99 and 100 and above. Age grouping shall depend on the number of participants playing.
Professional players, coaches, trainers, former or current national team players are disqualified to participate. A player may sign up for a max of 2 events. Proof of age ID is required. Organizers will be accepting only 150-160 pre-paid registrants.
