Coach E opens at 4 venues in January

Personalized and scientific basketball teaching takes the forefront in 2009 as the Coach E Basketball School opens at four venues starting next month with Hi-Smart Multivitamins plus Iron of New Marketlink Pharmaceutical Corporation as major sponsor.

International Basketball Academy (IBA) president Xavy Nuñag announced that schedules of the third module for ages five and up are slated at San Beda College Alabang (Jan. 20-March 14), The Zone Makati (Jan. 21-March 14), Xavier School in San Juan (Jan. 22-March 14) and Clubsixfifty in Libis (Jan. 23-March 14).

“We encourage parents to give the gift of physical fitness this year by enrolling their children in the Coach E Basketball School,” says Nuñag, who ask interested parties to call the Coach E hotline at tel. Nos. 631-1195 (telefax) and 09217562639 or at iba_phil@yahoo.com and www.coach-e.com.

Classes at Xavier School are every Monday and Thursday, from 4-6 p.m., at the Zone every Wednesday (5-7 p.m.) and Saturday (10-12 noon), at San Beda Alabang every Tuesday (5:30-7:30 p.m.) and Saturday (10 a.m.-12 noon) and Clubsixfifty every Friday (5-7 p.m.) and Saturday (10 a.m.-12 noon).

Coach E Basketball School was founded by former UP Maroon and Purefoods champion coach Eric Altamirano, who was recently named coach of RP Youth Under-16 team and also acts as director of the National Basketball Training Center.

The Coach E Basketball modules focus on the structured approach to learning basketball with fundamentals and shot training taught in a personalized manner or strictly one instructor for every five students.

Also taught are balance and stance along with ball-handling and dribbling.
