It was an odd scene but somehow produced positive result as it set up Red Bull to 80-73 decision over Alaska Milk that sent the team on the threshold of the San Mig Coffee PBA Fiesta Cup Final Four.
The Bulls, formerly known as the Barakos, now have three cracks at winning their best-of-five quarterfinals showdown with the embattled Aces. They take their first shot in clinching the series at 4:40 p.m. tomorrow at the Astrodome.
"I just wanted to stress a point. I didnt want us to commit so many errors. When he came in, he committed two errors right away. And when I talked to him, he didnt seem to care so I told him I dont need him in the game," said Guiao in sending Torion home.
"But its nothing serious. Its normal for me and Jimwell. When we see each other in practice tomorrow, everything would be fine. Jimwell is not the kind of player who will disrespect you or a player you will run in conflict with," Guiao added.
Taking the cue from Guiaos first-quarter outburst, the Bulls raged on in the next three quarters and made it two in a row over the Aces to move within a win of clinching the right to play the Barangay Ginebra Kings in the best-of-seven semifinal round.
Later on, Guiao expressed confidence they could go on to win this playoff.
"Its now a question of whether we can stay focused in the series till the end. We will look bad if we dont wrap it up," said Guiao.
