The 2003 racing season was nothing but a brilliant year in car racing for Bluemoon Motorsports drivers.
Team manager Steven Tan said Bluemoon highlighted its 2003 racing season stint with remarkable finishes in five different categories in the Philippine Festival of Speed (PFS) in Subic.
Top driver Dindo de Jesus led Bluemoons juggernaut as he and co-driver Ricky Santiago gunned their Spoon-powered, Bluemoon-tuned Honda Civic hatchback into an impeccable second place overall finish, just 26 seconds off winner Ivan Isada in the 122-km Petron Rally ng Pilipinas event around the Naval Magazine Area in Subic.
De Jesus also came up third best in the National Rally Championship.
Using a Bluemoon-tuned Volkswagen Beetle, battle-scarred driver Carlos Castañeda, meantime, lorded it over in the hill climb and sprint races aside from slamming home an impressive third place finish with co-driver Dr. Cesar Martinez in Enduro racing.
Rounding up Bluemoons show was William Chen, who despite being a rookie driver, managed to land fifth in bracket C racing of the Run What U Brung event.
The teams sponsors are Spoon Sports, Integrated Logistics, Debeer Car Paint and Refinisher, SM Hypermart, Valugard Phils., Clear Defense Phils. Inc., Liquimoly and Kyoei Trading Inc.
"We can only look forward to a better year in the 2004 racing season," Tan added.
Fast gaining a topnotch reputation among car buffs in tuning and modification of racing cars, Bluemoon Motorsports maintains a one-stop pit stop for regular or performance-oriented automotive tuning and maintenance with branches in Japan and Singapore.
