Olongapo bash for Volunteers

Olongapo City welcomes their MBA team Volunteers today with an array of festivities to be led by city Mayor and MBA Board of Governor Kate Gordon.

A motorcade around the city ending at the Olongapo City Convention Center, which will serve as the Volunteers’ home court during the MBA’s fifth season, ushers in the activities followed by an exhibition game pitting the Volunteers against the Cagayan de Oro Amigos.

Afterwards, the Volunteers will be introduced to the press before joining the fans in autograph sessions and parlor games spiced up by production numbers from selected entertainers. The celebration extends to the night with a street party for the people of Olongapo and cocktails for guests.

Mayor Gordon is reportedly very excited with the entry of the Volunteers to the MBA and is thankful that Olongapo was given the privilege to host one of the league’s pre-season events leading to the Cebu City opening. She’ll formally present the Volunteers to her constituents.

Olongapo City, through Mayor Gordon and Tourism Secretary Dick Gordon, is the MBA’s newest member.
