3 suspects in student’s killing charged ‘
MANILA, Philippines — 3 suspects in student’s killing charged Criminal cases were filed on Wednesday against three suspects in the killing of a 16-year-old Grade 11 student in Quezon City.
The suspects underwent inquest proceedings for homicide before the city prosecutor’s office, Quezon City Police District public information officer Maj. Jennifer Gannaban said.
Among the suspects is an 18-year-old Grade 12 student known only as Rey. The two others are minors aged 15 and 16.
The victim and his classmate were playing at a billiards hall along Quirino Highway in Barangay Pasong Putik Proper on Aug. 13 when the suspects challenged them to a fistfight.
The victim died after he was stabbed multiple times, police said.
Two of the suspects were arrested in follow-up operations while the other was surrendered by his parents.
