CJH developer palalayasin ng BCDA
MANILA, Philippines – Naghahanda na ang pamunuan ng Bases Conversion Development Authority (BCDA) na buksan sa ibang mamumuhunan ang malaking bahagi ng Camp John Hay na matagal nang inuupuhan ng kumpanyang pagmamay-ari ng College Assurance Plans (CAP).
Ito ay makaraang mairita na rin ang Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) sa sinasabing patuloy na pagwawalambahala ng Camp John Hay Development Corporation (CJHDEVCO) at CAP na bayaran ang pagkakautang na aabot sa P3 bilyon sa BCDA.
“We informed you that this office is constrained to require the submission of your latest due financial statements, not only because we have been receiving complaints from the public, but also due to the fact that you have continuously failed to submit reports for more than five continuous years,” pahayag ni Ferdinand Sales, acting director ng SEC sa pamunuan ng CJHDEVCO.
“Failure to submit its reports for more than five years is “sufficient ground to revoke the corporation’s certificate of registration as provided under existing laws and regulations on reportorial requirements,” bahagi pa ng sulat ng SEC.
Ang BCDA ang nangangasiwa sa operasyon ng lahat ng mga dating kampo militar na itinayo ng mga dayuhang puwersa na pumasok sa Pilipinas.
