P35 milyong mga bulok na karne sa Bulacan, nadiskubre ng BOC

MANILA, Philippines — Nadiskubre sa isina­gawang inspeksiyon ng isang team ng Bureau of Customs (BOC) at Department of Agriculture (DA), sa isang bodega sa Meycauayan, Bulacan kamakalawa ang nasa P35 milyong halaga ng mga bulok na  meat products.

Ang composite team, sa pamumuno ng Customs Intelligence and Investigation Service (CIIS), ay nakadiskubre ng dalawang improvised cold storage facilities na may nakaimbak na mga spoiled meat products sa Meycauayan Industrial Subdivision, Brgy. Pantoc, Meycauayan, Bulacan.

Sa isinagawang inspeksiyon, naobserbahan na ang mga nakaimbak na pork at beef products ay bulok na at may mabahong amoy.

Nagbigay naman ng detalye si CIIS Director Verne Enciso hinggil sa isinagawang inspeksiyon.

“Since the owners or building administrator were not present during the service and implementation of the Letter of Authority (LOA), raiding team proceeded to the subdivision’s homeowners’ association to effect the substituted service thereof,” aniya.

Sa presensiya ng dalawang barangay officials, tinanggap ng administrative staff ng HOA, ang LOA para sa owner/operator ng subject na warehouse.

Ayon kay Deputy Commissioner for Intelligence Group Juvymax Uy, ang operasyon ay sinaksihan din ng mga opisyal mula sa Inspectorate and Enforcement (DAIE) ng Department of Agriculture (DA) at ng National Meat Inspection Service (NMIS).

Pinuri naman ni Commissioner Bienvenido Y. Rubio ang close coordination sa pagitan ng BOC at DA, at pinasalamatan ang barangay at HOA officials na nakipag-ugnayan sa isinagawang pagsilbi sa LOA at inspeksiyon sa bodega.
