Nasa bansa ngayon si Leila bilang guest of honor sa FIVB Men’s Volleyball World Championship.

“The memory that stands out the most is the natural empathy she felt soon as she entered the stadium with Filipino people,” ani Leila.

Kabilang na rito ang mga placards na nakikita nito sa stand gaya ng Leila Marry Me at ng Leila for President.

“It’s funny that when I am here, people are having signs saying ‘Leila for President,’ and ‘Leila Marry Me,’ and it sounds like they could see the future that I will actually become a senator for Brazil,” dagdag ni Leila.

“As an athlete, I always used my image to defend women and the environment. Now, as a politician, I am working in a broader way, with a macro view for all society, especially for the most vulnerable,” aniya.

“In fact, for years, I’ve been receiving invitations to come to the Philippines. Then the longing really hit. I thought it was the right time to come to the Philippines, because I believe this is the moment when Filipino volleyball is growing,” ani Leila.
